Find work samples to cover the core service areas for Daedalus Information Systems: search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM, PPC) and information architecture (IA).
The key to successful search engine optimisation is matching your messaging about your products/services with how your customers use search engines to find information about those products and services. This starts with the development of a Core Metadata, a set of terms that represents this intersection of context. The Core Metadata then becomes a framework for content and linking strategies that map to how the search engines determine relevance. This is Search Engine Optimization.
What is Information Architecture? For me, Information Architecture is the structuring of the many information systems, Web sites, Intranets, databases, training modules, and documents using navigation schemes, labeling, and appropriate interlinking. We combine standard information behavior research with an acquired understanding of your customers and stakeholders to produce a structure tailed to your needs. That's what I did for the clients below.
Information design is the application of structure, context, and layout to visually enhance the consumption of information on a page. While at Microsoft, I redesigned how the SQL Server product site displayed product pricing information.
